Surya : India's Most Lethal And Powerful Missile.

The Surya Missile Is A Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Being Developed by India. The First Report About The Surya Missile Was Published by the Non-proliferation Review In 1995. Albiet The Status Remains Unconfirmed. The Missile is being developed in out most secrecy.
Surya is the most ambitious project in India's IGMDP (Integrated Guided Missile Development Program). The IGMDP  was an Indian Ministry Of Defence Program for the Reasearch And Development of a Comprehensive Range of Missiles.

Surya Missile Can Launched From Surface Based or Underwater Based. It has 40.00m in length and 1.1m in diameter. It Launched weight is upto 80,000 kg. The Missile will have 3-10 MIRV (Multiple In-dependent Re-entry Vehicle) warheads, So, each missile will be able to target upto 10 different locations. Each of the warhead will be of 250-750 kg of TNT each.
The Missile will have a  Terminal Velocity of Mach 24 making it very hard to intercept. The missile used Inertial navigation system with Ring Laser Gyroscope augmented by IRNSS. Surya will be true ICBM with a range of 16000+ km.

It will use 3 Stage Propulsion, Stage 1 1 and 2 will be solid fuel propulsion and stage will be liquid fuel propulsion. The design Will have inputs from India's PSLV (Polar Space Launch Vehicle) and Agni-5 ICBM. Surya Missile once developed Will be the most potent long range Ballistic Missile In India's Armory.
The Missile will basically be able to hit anywhere in the world due to its massive range. This will add a major muscle to India detereance. Since India Has Policy Of 'NO FIRST USE OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS.'
