Indian Navy Needs SSNs Class Fleet Submarines.

In a bid to transform Indian Navy into a true blue water force. The Navy requires a fleet of SSNs a nuclear powered general-purpose attack Submarines to meet its great power expectations. India needs to keep its eye on the horizon and perceptively of its Maritime capabilities like its SSN fleet to meet its great power in the Indo-pacific region. In the decades to come while SSNs are known to be more expensive to build and maintain an original diesel electric submarine  which has undergone numerous iterations.

The study indicated that it would require between 2.2 to 6 diesel electric submarine to have the equivalent effectiveness of one SSNs. Currently India has 16 diesel electric submarines, one nuclear powered general-purpose attack Submarines SSNs which is leased from Russia and one ballistic missile Submarines SSBNs. Nuclear Submarines are national strategies assests and even the best of friends do not part with this technology.

Conversely if you pay the right price you may buy or making collaboration a convectional Submarine. Indian Navy leased the second nuclear powdered attack Submarines from Russia INS Chakra II. in 2012 for a period of 10 years. These unleashed nuclear attack Submarines are critical towards providing vital operational experience and training to the submarine crew. However to exploit the complete operational envelope to nuclear attack submarine. India would need its own Indian made Nuclear attack Submarines
The construction of six of these sanctioned by the cabinet committee of security council in 2015. The first Indian made Nuclear propelled Ballistic Missile submarine INS Arihant was inducted in 2016 which complete its deterrent patrol in November 2018. The second in these class INS Arighat was Launched in November 2017 and expected to join the Indian Navy in 2021.
SSBNs or ballistic missile are nuclear propelled they carry multiple sets of Submarine-launched ballistic missile SLBMs tripped with single or multiple nuclear warheads. The primary mission is to fulfill the vital single third leg of the nuclear triad. Undecteted ballistic missile Submarines would assure a devastating retaliation or an assured second strike Capability. SSNs or guided missile nuclear Submarines carry both convectional and nuclear-tripped cruise missiles.
These Submarines are regarded as tactical rather than strategic weapons. SSNs or nuclear attack Submarines are designed for speed and agility  and are considered the most versatile of all Submarines classes. Due to their innate advantages of almost unlimited underwater endurance and high sustained speeds. They are capable of multiple tasking on numerous critical missions while out best part on a single prolonged duration patrol.
Original diesel electric Submarines has undergone numerous iterations. These Submarines are operationally limited by the need to charge their batteries using the diesel engines for a certain period of time every day at which is termed as their indiscretion rate.
